Alec Nikoghossian is a film and commercial director + editor, born in Beirut, Lebanon and now based in Montréal, Canada. He graduated with a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema.
Inspired by life across two ends of the world, he pulls from personal history to revisit the city of Beirut through film; guided by nostalgia and fragmented memories from Armenian family stories.
His first publicly recognized short film, Closer in Strife (2025), premiered at the Armenian Film Society’s Armenian Film Festival in Los Angeles, with selections at Slamdance (Narrative Shorts) and the Beirut Shorts (BSIFF)'s Land, Peace, and Justice Competition.

Personal note

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me.
I'm currently seeking opportunities in social media, content creation, and film production. My work spans creative direction, editing, as well as cinematography.
Living around the world — from Beirut to Montréal to Dubai — has given me a sense of what works (and what doesn’t) in storytelling for diverse cultures and audiences. I bring this perspective to every project, drawing on my experiences, influences, and ways of seeing.
I'd love to talk further. Let's create something unforgettable together.
- Alec
